Winifred May Martin Campagna passed away on the evening of July 10 in much the same way as she led her life, peacefully and gracefully with love all around her. Winnie lived life to the fullest. She was born June 30th, 1936, in New York City. She was a childhood actress on Broadway. She had an eventful life there and once was even the poster child on the infamous Times Square billboard. She was raised by a loving and tight-knit family. She frequently reminisced about going to see her grandmother via the apartment building’s fire escape. She continued her acting career until she met her lifelong love, Frank T. Campagna. Winnie was 16 years old when she married Frank and they had a beautiful marriage. Together they helped guide their younger siblings to grow and succeed, while still growing themselves. They raised three children and were proud grandparents of 5. Winnie and Frank had a lovely marriage for nearly 48 years, until he passed.in 2000.

Winnie travelled the world and loved to share in her adventures. She did zip lining, sky diving, wine tasting, safaris, doing whatever the occasion called for. As a woman, she was very progressive and started her own successful promotional products company in 1983, W. M. Martin Advertising. Part of her mission with her company was to provide part-time work and benefits for women and especially single mothers, allowing them to help in supporting their families, while still having the flexibility to be with the family. Winnie was a true believer and followed the practices of Jesus, loving everyone, forgiving, and serving others. She was a dedicated CASA volunteer for over 11 years and helped many families grow and become whole. She was an active member of St. Barnabas Presbyterian and able to put her faith into loving action while using her business acumen to work as both a trustee and session member. She was known to be a very classy dresser and was proud of being able to wear much of her quality wardrobe for decades and remain fashionable. Winnie was loved by many and frequently did kind acts for others without being in the spotlight. She was loved, admired, and will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Martin and Winfred Beach Martin Adams, husband, Frank T. Campagna, son Scott Yale Campagna, grandsons Kenneth Thomas Fahle and Frankie ‘45’ Campagna. She is survived by her son Frank Leonard (Paula) Campagna, daughter Wendy Lange (Suzy) Adams-Fahle, grandson Scott August Fahle, granddaughters Erin Wynne Fahle and Amber (Sam) Campagna, great grandsons, Eddie James and Samuel Dean, her brother Stan Martin (Judy) and a very large extended family from coast to coast. To know Winnie was to know class, generosity, adventure, and love! In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of the many charities that Winnie supported including St. Barnabas, Ida’s Gift, Network of Community Ministries, Union Gospel, CASA, Alzheimer’s Association and Salvation Army. Her family is very grateful for all the support, love, prayers, phone calls, emails, cards and the care from her medical team with Anchors of Hope Hospice.
